Al Mawakeb School is a private, K-12 school (3 to 18 years of age) located in Al Garhoud, Dubai. The school is one of two campuses located in Dubai (the other based in Barsha) managed by the Academia Management Solution International (AMSI).

The Garhoud school was established in 1979 and currently has approximately 2498 students from a range of backgrounds and nationalities, but one in five come from Emirati families. Interestingly, the school teaches a mixed curriculum with students learning English, French and Arabic within kindergarten and students between grades 10 to 12 study a US modified curriculum (equivalent to a US grade 12 Diploma).

The school currently has an Acceptable level of teaching and performance according to its KHDA report. Areas of strength include Islamic Education in the elementary school and Arabic as a first language in the elementary and middle schools. Overall, English attainment and progress are good in the Kindergarten, middle and high school. Students also demonstrate good attainment and progress in mathematics in the middle and high school. In the good lessons, students were actively engaged.  Behaviour at the school is said to be Good.

Parents are said to be largely pleased with the school, and satisfied with attainment, especially in Arabic, culture and Islamic studies.

School facilities at Al Mawakeb include a library, science and computer labs, art workshops and a school clinic. In addition the school also is a recognized SAT exam center for students who wish to enter college.

In addition to regular physical education classes, the both the Garhoud and Barcha schools offers out of school hours training for basketball, volleyball, track and field, table tennis and football. The schools also organizes and annual ski trip abroad, and has a wide array of clubs – from Robotics to Drama, from Computer club to Piano.
