School Organization

NAIS is governed by a four member Board of Directors.. The founders (Mr. A. Taher, Mrs. Z. Taher and Ms. A. Taher) have always been at the forefront of international education and it is their dedication, commitment and vision that have brought to fruition, the establishment of NAIS.

School Year

The school year comprises two terms. NAIS is in session for approximately 180 days. In the Kindergarten section there are 5 class sessions each day. From Grades 1 – 12 there are 8 class periods of 4–45 minutes each day. One day a week is earmarked for club activities. Extra support is provided to the students where needed during school hours.

NAIS is an American curriculum school housed in a spacious, purpose-built campus of 20,000 sq m, providing affordable top-class American education. It is a state-of-the-art school serving the educational needs of residents of the United Arab Emirates by offering a Kindergarten through High School American system of education. NAIS is a university preparatory school and provides a challenging academic environment emphasizing learning, as well as social and individual growth. Acquiring knowledge, skills and understanding, while developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are some of the goals we have set for ourselves. NAIS is a caring community where students’ needs are a priority and where global citizenship is encouraged.

Since Commencement

The school commenced its operations in September 2007. In its first year the school was awarded accreditation by CITA- Commission on International & Transregional Accreditation. CITA has now merged with AdvancED and the accreditation is now from North Central Association Commission on Accreditations and School Improvement.

The quality of teachers determines the strength of a school. Our faculty at NAIS is a group of passionate, dedicated, well experienced and highly qualified teachers whose aim is to foster confidence and strong character in students and help them to attain the best of knowledge.
