Can you talk about the evolution/history of beauty sponge/blender? Recently, I saw the comments on the beauty blender Instagram page that they stole fro a indie company but BB post a defensive sildes. I dk how I felt about BB- they are original but they cost 20$ for something that wouldn’t last as long as a brush. The way that BB get away with that price is because they have LOYAL stans who hate the dupes. And they have other products but the blender overshadow it. Who cares/know about their highlighter?

I really enjoy the BB but I stopped purchasing them because I had to stop working (I’m a full time grad student). I now buy real techniques sponges and they do a nice job 🤷♀️ if anyone could recommend a sponge that functions similarly to the Bb I would appreciate thst!

@jessicajohn92 I’ve been using the DSMD Shop beauty sponge. It’s $6 and while I’ve never had a BB sponge because I refuse to pay $20 for something that needs to be replaced regularly, it’s awesome. I lost all my make-up and brushes. I have since learnt so much!!! I now am very satisfied with what I have now. Which is very little in the scheme of things. I like using 1 countour, 1 bronzer but do have options. I need very little eyeshadow my eyes are small. 1 highlighter but got options. I do like a couple foundations and a couple powder options. Where I splurge lipsticks!!! That’s where I feel I can change up the look. But temptation is everywhere!!! I find really thinking about how I use my make-up keeps me in reality. I did pick up that Physicians Formula multi face palette by Whitney??? and happy I did. Which is where I get my options from. Wow!!! How did this turn into a novel!!! Buy what you need. Save your $$$ 😝💯😝

I used to think I had straight hair with some frizziness too until I tried the curly girl method and found out that its actually wavy and doing that has greatly improved the quality of my hair and there’s quite less hair fall too. So, maybe you could try that for some time and it might do wonders for you too as it has done for me.

As someone that used to have Very frizzy hair, I’ve found that treating my hair as wavy (which it is naturally) rather than straight and using the CGM (curly girl method) has helped with the frizz tremendously. Usually, if your hair is frizzy, it’s wavy/curly (: The frizz is your hair trying to form waves/curls, but it doesn’t have the support it needs. Just food for thought–my hair is healthier after I completely changed my routine. Edit: Maybe it’s just frizzier because of summer, but who knows.

Can I ask what products you use? I want to do the CGM I have wavy hair that used to be curly hair but my hair gets frizzy now and wavy. I was using Deva curl but I stopped after everything came out

If you’re having trouble with frizziness, you should wash your hair less (if you’re washing your hair like everyday). You should also not towel dry your hair (a microfibre towel or cotton T-shirt is okay tho). You should also look into a silk/satin pillowcase/scarf to tie your hair up in when you sleep. Also don’t brush your hair while it’s wet. Use a wide tooth comb. Touching your hair makes it frizzier, so if you touch your hair a lot, try not to.
